Facts, Facts, and More Facts

My class has been working hard on their division skills.  We are working towards an ice cream party. Here is a picture of our math facts board.

I keep track of each fact they pass and then they get to add the part of the sundae they have earned. Hopefully at the end of the unit they will all have earned their sundae.

Am I anchored?  Hmm...that is a good question.  I have no idea! What I do know is that I normally love my job.  

I teach 4th grade math and lately it has been a challenge.  I don't know if it is the up-coming holidays or what but my classes have been coo-coo!  Maybe it is I who is coo-coo...no, it's definitely the students.  

We are in need of a 2-week vacation.  I am sure every teacher out there is feeling the same way right about now.  

As I have gotten older, I feel that I am trying to slow time down but in this case, I am eager to get back to business in January.  I still have lots of topics to cover before the big test in April.
